Task Manager Product Overview
Virtual Machinery's task manager allows you to sequence and control a group of tasks running on a Java platform.
Features
- Tasks can be set to run in a particular sequence
- Errors can be handled to ensure that other tasks continue executing even after an error in one of the tasks
- Tasks can be marked as fatal to ensure that no other tasks will run if an error is encountered in a fatal task
- Additional code can be supplied to each task to be run depending on whether the task has failed or succeeded
- The task set can be re run after failure with the option to retry failed tasks
- The task set can be started at a particular point in the sequence
- Tasks can be grouped to run simultaneously in separate threads
- Task status is updated and can be viewed throughout the process
- The execution of the task set can be delayed
- The execution of the task set can be paused or stopped
- All classes are implemented using interfaces and full source code is provided in standard java format and in Visual Age for Java format
